Job summary

Mount Carmel in Gahanna is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, primary care position. The APP will provide comprehensive health services across the lifespan with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention in an outpatient setting.

The role offers strong compensation, day‑one benefits, an annual CME stipend, and educational support, including RN to BSN opportunities. Experience in outpatient primary care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in nursing or a related field; graduate of an advanced practice program.
• Current Ohio RN and NP licensure; board-certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• BLS certification.

• Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills.
• Self-directed professional with strong organizational abilities.

Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care - Gahanna

Position Purpose:

This full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position supports the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a Mount Carmel Gahanna primary care office setting. The APP provides comprehensive health services across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and improving community access to care. APPs at Mount Carmel are highly valued members of the care team and are offered excellent compensation, benefits, and an annual CME stipend. Experience in the outpatient primary care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family consistent with established guidelines
• Practices within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
• Initiates and leads performance improvement activities with a focus on achieving top quartile on clinical indicators.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or specialty field. Graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program.
• Current License as RN and Nurse Practitioner in Ohio. Certified as Advance Practice Nurse in designated specialty.
• BLS provider certification
• DEA license
• Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills
• Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills
