Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Gahanna is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care, to provide comprehensive care across the lifespan in a high‑quality, patient‑centered setting. This full‑time role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and improving community access to care.

The APP collaborates with a physician, enjoys excellent compensation and benefits, and participates in a CME stipend. Outpatient primary care experience is preferred and Ohio licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Masters in Science, Nursing or related field; Graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program.
• Current RN and Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio; Certified as Advanced Practice Nurse.
• BLS provider certification.
• DEA license.
• Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills.
• Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills.

• Practices within a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.

Position Purpose

Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care - Gahanna This full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position supports the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a Mount Carmel Gahanna primary care office setting. The APP provides comprehensive health services across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and improving community access to care. APPs at Mount Carmel are highly valued members of the care team and are offered excellent compensation, benefits, and an annual CME stipend. Experience in the outpatient primary care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care with the patient/family consistent with established guidelines
• Practices within the guidelines of a Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
• Initiates and leads performance improvement activities with a focus on achieving top quartile on clinical indicators.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or specialty field. Graduate of Advanced Practitioner Program.
• Current License as RN and Nurse Practitioner in Ohio. Certified as Advance Practice Nurse in designated specialty.
• BLS provider certification
• DEA license
• Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills
• Self-directed professional with strong organizational skills
