Job summary

Goodside Health is seeking dedicated Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Pediatric Urgent Care team in West Houston. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients under protocols, collaborating with medical directors and site physicians to deliver age-appropriate care for children in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Urgent Care Experience: Preferred, with a strong background in fast-paced clinical settings.
• Pediatric Assessment & Treatment: At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant, with a focus on pediatric care.
• Urgent Care Procedures: Proficiency in laceration repair, initial fracture management, and reduction of nursemaid’s elbow.
• Licensing & Regulatory Knowledge: OSHA/CLIA guidelines and a valid Texas RN license.
• Certification: Active board certification (PNP-BC, FNP-BC) or NCCPA.
• PALS Certification: Current certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment initiation, and independent decision-making.
• Collaborate with medical directors and site physicians to deliver age-appropriate care.

Requirements:

• Urgent Care Experience: Preferred, with a strong background in fast-paced clinical settings.

• Certification: Active certification by national certifying bodies recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing (PNP-BC, FNP-BC) or NCCPA.
• PALS Certification: Current certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
