Job summary

Goodside Health is seeking dynamic Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Pediatric Urgent Care team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. You will collaborate with medical directors and site physicians to deliver age-appropriate care under established protocols, performing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and independent decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in pediatric urgent care and proper licensing are required; active PALS and NCCPA or state-boards

Qualifications

• Urgent care experience in pediatric settings.
• Ability to assess, diagnose and initiate treatment for children.
• Proficiency with Laceration repair, fractures and elbow reductions is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/CLIA regulations and Texas nursing/licensing requirements.
• Active certification by national certifying bodies (PNP-BC, FNP-BC) or NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric assessments and develop age-appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with medical directors and site physicians to deliver care under established protocols.
• Make independent clinical decisions in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate follow-up care as needed.

Requirements

• Urgent Care Experience: Preferred, with a strong background in fast-paced clinical settings.


• Pediatric Assessment & Treatment: At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant, with a focus on pediatric care.


• Urgent Care Procedures: Proficiency in laceration repair, initial fracture management, and reduction of nursemaid's elbow.


• Licensing & Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines (OSHA, CLIA) and maintaining a valid, unencumbered Texas RN license.


• Certification: Active certification by national certifying bodies recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing (PNP-BC, FNP-BC) or NCCPA.


• PALS Certification: Current certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
