They assume ongoing responsibility for each patient from discovery of the disorder to recovery. They diagnose and treat both chronic and episodic disorders, including complications of otherwise normal processes. They establish and document the health care plan and diagnosis, maintaining comprehensive records for review. They demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior, culturally sensitive service to members, customers, providers, and vendors.
