Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our rheumatology outpatient team. You will conduct new and follow-up visits for adult rheumatology patients, coordinate care, and perform procedures including injections, working with rheumatology physicians and other advanced providers.

You'll join a multidisciplinary team at Junction Road Medical Center and Eastpark Medical Center with 100% day shifts, Monday through Friday, to support high-quality, cost-effective care,

Qualifications

• Requires Wisconsin NP or PA licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Active board certification as NP or PA.
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for one prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide new patient visits, follow-up visits, and coordinate care for adult rheumatology patients in outpatient setting.
• Perform routine clinical procedures including injections as outlined in practice agreements.

100%, day shift working Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p. You will work at Junction Road Medical Center and Eastpark Medical Center.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our outpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

UW Health specialists in rheumatology provide a multidisciplinary team approach to managing rheumatic and immunological diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

• Provide new patient visits, follow-up visits, and coordinate care for adult rheumatology patients in an outpatient setting.


• Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following: intraarticular or intrabursal injections.


• Work collaboratively within a team of rheumatology physicians and other advanced practice providers.

Education:

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  
  
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.
  
  
  
  

Licenses and Certifications:

• Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  
  
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Emergency; Family; Gerontology; Neonatal; Pediatric Acute Care; Pediatric Primary Care; Psychiatric-Mental Health; or Women's Health upon hire required.
