Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Clinical Nurse Specialist - Lutheran Hospital Medicine II Nights (.94 FTE)

Join Cleveland Clinic's Lutheran Hospital Medicine as a full-time Family/Adult-Geriatric/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in their Nocturnal Medicine team.

Position Details
  • Night shift, 15 hours (4:30pm to 7:30am), approximately 10-11 shifts per month, every 3rd weekend.
  • Responsibilities include overnight admissions, discharges, in-person evaluations, and nursing cross-coverage support.
  • Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of inpatient experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical histories and physical examinations, order and interpret labs and imaging, develop diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Perform routine and specialized procedures, prescribe and monitor medications as permitted.
  • Educate patients, participate in team rounds, refer to specialists, ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality monitoring, discharge planning, professional development, and research activities.
Qualifications
  • MSN required for APRN; graduate of accredited APRN program; licensure as Nurse Practitioner or CNS in applicable state(s); national certification.
  • For PAs: graduate of ARC-approved program, NCCPA certification, valid state license, DEA registration.
  • Certifications: BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on setting.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and long periods of walking/standing.

  • Must have arrangements with a physician, be credentialed and privileged by the hospital.
