Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our mission of excellence in education, research, and patient care.

Essential Functions

• Conduct health history and physical assessments of bone marrow transplant patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe treatments and monitor their effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatments.
• Participate in research, education, and departmental duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Nurse Practitioner

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Board certification in relevant nursing specialty.
• At least three years of nursing experience.

Physician Assistant

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience in Hematology-Oncology.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
