Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver patient care in Family Medicine. As a licensed independent practitioner, you will diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

You will obtain health histories, perform exams, order and interpret tests, and collaborate with NP/PA/MD colleagues to coordinate care. MA license as NP/PA, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and about 1 year of community health

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA with MA license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications as required by department
• 1 year relevant experience in a community health setting

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed independent practitioner who provides medical services to individuals, families and groups. An APP diagnoses and manages acute episodic and chronic illnesses while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Services may include ordering, conducting, supervising and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescription of pharmacologic agents and non pharmacologic therapies.

• Demonstrates critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills in clinical decision making.
