Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, aligning with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and the clinical team.

The NP will diagnose, treat, and educate patients, serving as a healthcare provider and educator while collaborating with physicians and staff. Nights and weekends may be required as part of the regular schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program.
• Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience.
• RN license in Texas or ability to obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days; APRN Non-Acute Care state license; ANCC certification; BLS; Prescriptive Authority; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership as a clinical resource and supports staff development.
• Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, families and the interprofessional team.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to manage and coordinate patient care.
