Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive patient care in collaboration with physicians and the health care team. The NP will conduct assessments, diagnose, treat, and educate patients within the Texas Nurse Practice Act and the Houston Methodist model.

The role requires two years of RN/NP experience, Texas licensure with PSV compact status, and ANCC-certified specialty; BLS is also required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing; graduate from an accredited NP program.
• Minimum two years of RN/advanced practice/NP clinical experience.
• Texas RN licensure with PSV compact status and APRN Non-Acute Care certification; ANCC NP certification and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate patient care.
• Provide education to patients about treatments and preventive care.
• Demonstrate leadership as a clinical resource and coach staff.
• Ensure care aligns with Texas Nurse Practice Act and Houston Methodist policies.
