Job summary
GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to serve as a palliative medicine consultant across hospital, nursing facilities and home settings. You will make recommendations for care plans, symptom management and goals of care in collaboration with staff and treating physicians.
The ideal candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program, a Maryland NP license (Adult/Family/Geriatrics) and prefer a Master’s in Palliative Care; at least five years in healthcare with one year in
Qualifications
- Must be a registered Nurse Practitioner in Maryland with Pediatric/Adult/Geriatrics scope as applicable.
- Experience with hospice/palliative care preferred; inpatient certification may be required.
- Proficient in electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as palliative medicine consultant in hospital, nursing facilities, and home settings.
- Recommend care plans, symptom management, and goals of care in collaboration with staff and physicians.
- Lead, mentor, and educate nursing and clinical staff as needed.
