Job summary

MaineHealth Waldo Hospital in Belfast, Maine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Walk in Care team in a per diem capacity. The ideal candidate will care for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis.

The APP will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with our Primary Care Providers. The facility is embedded in our Primary Care office on the Waldo campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Graduate of an accredited certified Family Nurse Practitioner’s program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant program.
• Maine NP or PA license and DEA.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 2 years’ experience as an NP/PA in ED, Urgent Care or Primary Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries in a walk‑in setting.
• Collaborate with Primary Care Providers as part of a patient-centered team.
• Embed in the Primary Care office located on the Waldo campus.

MaineHealth Waldo Hospital in beautiful Belfast, Maine is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Walk in Care team in a per diem capacity. For this position the ideal candidate will care for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis.

We seek an APP who is looking to work in a fast-paced environment caring for various medical conditions as part of a patient centered team. Providers work collaboratively with our Primary Care Providers. Our facility is currently embedded in our Primary Care office located on the Waldo campus.

This Position Offers

For internal candidates who currently hold a full-time or part-time role at MaineHealth, the pay rate is 120% of their current hourly rate and may be eligible for shift differentials. For external candidates or candidates who only hold per diem roles at MaineHealth, the rate is $80.00 per hour and may be eligible for shift differentials.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Graduate of an accredited certified Family Nurse Practitioner’s program or graduate of an accredited Certified Physician Assistant program.
• License/Certification:Maine NP or PA License and DEA.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Experience in emergency medicine, urgent care/walk-in care or primary care is preferred.
• 2 years’ experience as an NP/PA in ED, Urgent Care or Primary Care is preferred.
