Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA.
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification and EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR; code and bill services.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.

Full‑Time

Location: Central Phoenix, AZ

Status: Full‑Time

Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM -- 8:00 PM, seven days a week

Compensation: $60--$80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low‑acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow‑up.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
• PA: NCCPA certification
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
