Job summary

Geisinger is looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional medical care. Qualifications

• Required Master’s Degree for either Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant from NCCPA is required.
• Experience in a critical care setting preferred.

Job Summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our skilled team of critical care providers, practicing state‑of‑the‑art medicine with support from excellent physicians and nursing staff.

Job Duties

• Work 14 shifts/month
• Mix of days and nights
• 12-hour shifts from 7am‑7pm or 7pm‑7am
• Serve in a collaborative role with the physician and staff in assessing needs, planning and providing education and care, evaluating outcomes, and coordinating follow‑up and referrals for patients
• Function as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor and liaison between patients, families and physicians
• Moonlighting available for extra income

Education & Experience

• Master’s Degree – Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master’s Degree – Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification (within issuing body), Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
