HealthPoint in Kent, WA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certified for 0.75–1.0 FTE. The position offers a salary range of $137,615 to $168,628 annually, prorated by FTE.

You will provide comprehensive primary care in ambulatory clinics and Health Care for the Homeless facilities, working independently and with a team of MDs, PAs, and other providers. WA license and board certification are required.

Position Summary:

Responsible for provision of comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care, ambulatory clinic setting, and in Health care for the Homeless facilities. Works independently and interdependently with other clinic providers.

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Provision of comprehensive primary care services for all ages in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic setting, and in Health care for the Homeless facilities working independently and interdependently with other HealthPoint providers.
  • Provision of comprehensive primary care services for all ages in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic setting, and in Health care for the Homeless facilities working. The incumbent works independently and interdependently with other HealthPoint providers. which include MDs, PAs, Naturopathic Physicians, visiting specialists, Massage Therapists and Acupuncturists.

Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Certified

  • Provide care consistent with evidence-based medicine.
  • Assess patient needs for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service.
  • Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient records and superbills.
  • Participate in patient triage system.
  • Participate in a shared call system with other providers.
  • Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with the scope of practice and HealthPoint privileging policy.
  • Provide consultation to other clinic providers either in person or by telephone.
  • Consult with clinic physicians, specialists, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
  • Administer medications in clinic as needed.
  • Assist with meeting clinic patient care team productivity and quality care standards.
  • Participate in development and utilization of HealthPoint practice guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in audits, and meet standards of HealthPoint Quality Improvement, Risk Management and Utilization Management programs.
  • Maintain credentials essential for practice, to include licensure, board certification, society memberships and CPE.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:

  • Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • Washington State nurse practitioner or physician assistant license. Board certification required.
  • Demonstrated operating knowledge of computers. Intermediate level ability with Word, Outlook, and other required software programs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex medical documents. Ability to respond to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write reports and other documents that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to patients, consultants, and colleagues.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Work situations are vaguely defined, often unprecedented, and unique in character. Problems are very complex, abstract, conceptual, and long-term in nature. There is a continual requirement for strategic, innovative thought and synthesis of information as it pertains to work situations.

Immunization Requirements

Individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine must provide documentation of an alternate COVID-19 vaccine or vaccine series.

Employees working in a HealthPoint clinic must also provide proof of:

  • Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (for clinical positions with potential exposure to blood or bloodborne pathogens)
