Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostics with physicians, and educate patients on chronic disease management.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's degree in NP or PA, with licensure in MN/WI, BLS, and ability to obtain DEA/NPI as required.

• Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.

Key Position Details:

• Monday through Friday, with one weekday off
• Four 10-hour shifts, including seeing patients during typical clinical hours, with other hours for charting
• No holidays, weekends, or on-call

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cardiology experience strongly preferred. Heart failure experience preferred. Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU

Licenses/Certifications:

• Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required
• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
• Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
