Job summary

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute (AHMHI) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiology team in a hybrid schedule. The role involves rounding and OR work, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend rotation and EMR: Excellian usage.

The ideal candidate has NP/PA certification and cardiology experience. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering diagnostics, and patient education.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.

At least one year of experience post Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training preferred. Cardiology experience preferred. Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire. Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates) Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain). BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire. Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI). Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.

Pay Range

Pay Range Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
