Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute seeks a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the Northern Tier sites in Baxter, MN and Crosby, MN. 8-hour shifts, 4 days a week, with no weekend or on-call rotation, supporting Baxter and Crosby and outreach clinics in Aitkin/Staples.

Cardiology experience is strongly preferred; NP/PA with MN/WI licenses and BLS are required. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing and treating, ordering tests, prescribing

Qualifications

• Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain) and BLS within 180 days of hire.
• Certification as PA (NCCPA) or NP (ANCC/AANP) upon hire.

Responsibilities

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice for MHI’s Northern Tier sites in Baxter, MN and Crosby, MN. Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications:

• New graduates may be considered with a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU

Licenses/Certifications:

• Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates) Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain). BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire. Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI). Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.

Pay Range:

Pay Range Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
