The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care services across the lifespan of patients. This includes conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications and treatments and providing health education and preventive care.
Working collaboratively with physicians, specialists and other members of the care team, the provider plays a vital role in supporting a coordinated and coordinated care approach to patient wellness.
The NP/PA must function within the defined scope of practice as legislated by the State of Oregon and adhere to all regulatory, licensing and professional standards.
