Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Oregon is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join Wallowa Memorial Medical Clinic. Qualifications

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient data entry.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Must meet physical and functional requirements of the role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass background check, drug screen and references.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with patient exams, procedures and treatments as directed by the physician.
  • Taking and documenting vital signs, patient histories and clinical information.
  • Preparing exam rooms and ensuring supplies and equipment are available.
  • Communicating clearly with patients, providers and clinical staff.
  • Assisting with care coordination, follow-up instructions and patient education.
  • Supporting scheduling, data entry and medical record documentation.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and safe clinical environment.

JOB SUMMARY

Wallowa Memorial Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our clinic team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a provider and clinical supervisor, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The Medical Assistant serves as a vital link between patients and providers, helping to coordinate care, document patient information and assist with routine procedures. Effective communication and a collaborative approach are essential in working with physicians and fellow team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities Include
  • Assisting with patient exams, procedures and treatments as directed by the physician

  • Preparing exam rooms and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available
