Job summary

CAREonsite, a division of Tang & Company, seeks a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in California to join our occupational health team. You’ll perform minor procedures, conduct pre-employment physicals and DOT exams, and treat workers’ injuries in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in occupational or urgent care, can work independently while leading a healthcare team, and maintains thorough EMR documentation with clear communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in occupational, emergency, or urgent care.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a healthcare team.
• Strong clinical skills with experience in fast-track and main ED settings.
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
• Active PA or NP license in the applicable state with DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor surgical and therapeutic procedures, including suturing, injections, immunizations, burn care, and foreign body removal.
• Provide occupational health services, including DOT exams and treatment of workers’ compensation injuries.
• Conduct pre-employment physicals and other medical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Schedule & Pay:

• Pay Range: $70.00-$80.00

What You’ll Do:

• Perform minor surgical and therapeutic procedures, including suturing, injections, immunizations, burn care, and foreign body removal (subcutaneous and ocular).
• Provide occupational health services, including DOT exams and treatment of workers' compensation injuries.
• Conduct pre-employment physicals and other job-related medical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring high-quality patient care.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in occupational medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a healthcare team.
• Strong clinical skills with experience in both fast-track and main emergency department settings.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Active PA or NP license in the applicable state.
• Current DEA license.
• BCLS (CPR/AED) or ACLS certification.
