Job summary

CAREonsite in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced PA or NP to join our occupational health team. You will perform minor surgical and therapeutic procedures, conduct pre-employment physicals, and administer DOT exams in a fast-paced setting.

Independent work is required while leading a healthcare team. You will maintain accurate EMR records, deliver high-quality patient care, and collaborate with colleagues to meet regulatory standards and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Active PA or NP license in the applicable state.
• Current DEA license.
• BCLS (CPR/AED) or ACLS certification.

Job description

Schedule & Pay:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Pay Range: $120,000-$140,000

What You’ll Do:

• Perform minor surgical and therapeutic procedures, including suturing, injections, immunizations, burn care, and foreign body removal (subcutaneous and ocular).
• Provide occupational health services, including DOT exams and treatment of workers' compensation injuries.
• Conduct pre-employment physicals and other job-related medical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring high-quality patient care.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in occupational medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a healthcare team.
• Strong clinical skills with experience in both fast-track and main emergency department settings.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications & Certifications:
