Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide total clinical management of assigned patients in collaboration with a physician. The role involves following OH protocols, documenting in EMR, and coordinating care with OH providers and external clinicians.

Responsibilities include performing pre-placement clearances, administering vaccines, conducting exams, and ensuring compliance with safety and health programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and completion of an ANA-accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• DC or Maryland NP licensure required; CPR certification within 90 days.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in achievement of department goals, adheres to policies and safety standards.
• Documents data into OHM and other databases with timely, complete entries.
• Collaborates with OH clinicians and outside providers to monitor case management and outcomes.
• Develops wellness programs to improve associates' health and work-life balance.
• Evaluates fitness for duty and facilitates referrals for appropriate care.
• Assesses return-to-work capacity and manages transitional duty programs.
• Manages work-related injuries with care plans and documentation for workers' comp.
• Implements health compliance programs (influenza, TB testing, N95 fit testing).
• Liaises with departments to ensure workplace safety and supports injury prevention.
