Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (PRN) with Psychiatric Certification to partner with a Medical Director and clinical team in delivering comprehensive mental health services in Georgia.

The role focuses on assessments, diagnosis planning, prescription of treatments, and ongoing management within both inpatient and outpatient settings. Strong DSM-5 knowledge and a solid nursing background are required.

Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing with Psychiatric Mental Health certification (PMHNP/PMHCNS).
Current Georgia APRN license and national board certification.
Minimum five years in psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing.
Proficiency with DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessments.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and determine diagnostic plans.
Prescribe treatments and manage psychiatric care in collaboration with the physician.
Coordinate with Medical Director, Clinical, and Nursing staff to optimize patient care.
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

Education

Master of Science in Nursing (PMHNP/PMHCNS)

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Georgia (GA APRN)

National Certification Board certification (ANCC/AANP)

Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP/PMHCNS)

Nurse Practitioner (NP) - PRN

Turning Point is seeking a PRN Psych Certified Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner works closely with the Medical Director, Clinical Staff, and Nursing Staff to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, determine diagnosis plans, prescribe treatments, and manage mental health care regimens in collaboration with the designated physician.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have:

Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS) with one of the accredited National Certification Organizations (ANCC, AANP)
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia; Certification with a National Certification Board
Five (5) years of experience in the area of psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing
Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment
