Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center is seeking Advanced Practice Clinicians (APN/PA) for neurology coverage at 0.6–0.8 FTE. The roles require RN licensure with APRN credentials (APRN/PA) and state board licensure, plus national certification.

A specialty credential and ongoing CE are encouraged. The position includes an incentive plan based on base income and a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, PTO, CME, 401K, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• APC/APRN must have Masters or Doctorate and RN/APRNP license; credentialed by national board; specialty certification; ongoing CE beyond formal education.
• PA must graduate from accredited PA program and be licensed by Minnesota; NCCPA certification; specialty certification option; ongoing CE.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professional and ethical conduct and cultural sensitivity.
• Work autonomously and as part of a healthcare team.
• Maintain EMR proficiency and document patient information accurately.
• Provide patient education, prevention, and management of health conditions.
• Lead or participate in care planning and collaborate with clinicians.

Overview

0.6-0.8 FTE – Neurology

Salary range: $61.78-$84.25 per hour.

Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Incentive Plan: Eligible for a variable, or non-guaranteed, portion of compensation based on achievement of specific goals. This is currently 7.5% of base income.

Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Positions

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses - APRNs:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters or Doctorate degree
• Licensed as a registered nurse and as an APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Certified by a national credentialing board
• Certified by specialty
• Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body

Physician Assistant - PAs:

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program
• Licensed by Minnesota Board of Medicine
• Certified through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• Certification by specialty is also available
• Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body

Other APC Provisions

• Basic Life Support (Advanced Life Support as required by area of practice)
• DEA registration
• Pass background check
• Register with the Minnesota Prescriptive Monitoring Program (PMP)
• 5 years of experience as an APC, of which 2 years are in primary care or internal medicine subspecialties
