Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for outpatient and inpatient pediatrics. This 0.8 FTE position includes a call rotation of 1:8 and offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive salaries, and professional development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing or have completed a PA program, with MN licensure and national certification. Experience in pediatrics and EMR proficiency are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree required (MSN/NP or PA).
  • Active MN RN and APRN license; MN board licensure.
  • Certified by a national credentialing board (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
  • Specialty certification encouraged.
  • Two years pediatric NP/PA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participate in 0.8 FTE with call rotation 1:8.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop care plans.
  • Engage in professional development and credentialing requirements.

0.8 FTE - Pediatrics - Outpatient and Inpatient - Call rotation 1:8

Salary range: $61.78–$84.25 per hour.

Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Incentive Plan: Eligible for a variable, or non-guaranteed, portion of compensation based on achievement of specific citizenship, quality, or other goals. This is currently 7.5% of base income.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses - APRNs:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters or Doctorate degree
  • Licensed as a registered nurse and as an APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  • Certified by a national credentialing board
  • Certified by specialty
  • Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program

Both APC positions will also have:

  • Basic Life Support (Advanced Life Support as required by your area of practice)

  • Register with the Minnesota Prescriptive Monitoring Program (PMP).
  • Two years experience as a Pediatric NP/PA
  • PNP with nursery experience or NNP
  • NICU Experience
