An innovative opportunity for an NP to collaborate with attending hospitalists on the Hospital Medicine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital!
WE SUPPORT NEW GRADUATES!!!
One-on-one direct support for your first 10 weeks of work with us as well as ongoing check-ins on your progress.
This opportunity includes direct patient care from admission to discharge and a cross-coverage model for general inpatient medicine patients and subspecialty services.
The NP will follow 6 patients on average, with one admission per day.
The NP promotes a cohesive relationship and effort between the hospitalists, private physicians, nurses, and the remainder of the interdisciplinary health care team.
Applicants for this position should be patient-centered, motivated, and upbeat clinicians that want to work on a large academic team with MD/DO colleagues and NP/PA peers. You are a self-starter and able to respond, triage, and systematically care for both non-urgent and acute issues that arise in our patients.
This position is for a rotation of both day and night coverage.
PLEASE NOTE: Within the first year, there is an expectation to work every other weekend. This weekend requirement will be reduced in subsequent years.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.
