Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA seeks a Nurse Practitioner for the LRH patient-focused setting. The role requires providing high-quality care to acutely ill or injured patients with collaboration across the Emergency Unit and multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants must complete NLN-accredited nursing education and a Nurse Practitioner program, hold an Iowa RN license (or multi-state licensure), and possess current certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS/NRP).

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program graduate required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited NP program.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing required.
• Active CNP license; Iowa RN licensure or multi-state licensure required; DEA certification.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS/NRP certifications (or willing to obtain).

Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Nurse Practitionerto deliver the best possible carein LRH’spatient-focused setting.

SUMMARY:

To manage acutely ill or injured patients of all ages. This fast-paced nursing specialty requires the skill to treat patients with varying levels of acuity as well as perform procedures in collaboration with the Emergency Unit attending physician. Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs, complete a health history and physical exam, systematically plan and implement a plan of care, prescribe medications, assess for risk factors and contraindications to treatment, refer patients to appropriate specialties and facilities, and continually evaluate the outcomes of that care.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required. Master’s or doctorate degree required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

An active CNP license is required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required. Federal and State DEA certification. Current certifications for BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP and Mandatory Reporting of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse or completion in accordance with hospital Education Policy.
