Avenues Recovery is seeking a NP or PA to provide medical care, medication management, and clinical oversight in a detox and residential substance use disorder treatment setting in Denver, CO.

You will focus on patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance within a structured, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP (FNP, PMHNP) or PA-C license in Colorado.
• Active DEA registration.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care.
• Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment.
• Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS).
• Document all medical care in the EMR.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards.
• Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently.

We are currently hiring Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Denver, CO.

Job Summary

This role emphasizes patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance, allowing clinicians to practice thoughtfully in a structured, supportive environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) license in Colorado
• Active DEA registration
