Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time 9a-5p shift in our detox and residential treatment facility. You will provide medical monitoring, medication management, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each client's recovery.

Ideal candidates hold an Indiana NP or PA license, DEA certification, and experience in addiction medicine.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Indiana.
• Federal DEA certification.
• Advanced practice nursing or physician assistant skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in addiction medicine or related field.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor medical care plans and manage medications for clients during treatment.
• Provide medical stabilization to enable engagement in therapy.
• Update orders, review UDS and labs, and coordinate care with UR and clinical teams.
• Document thoroughly all medical interventions and directives.
• Maintain daily/weekly appointment scheduling for clients.

Now Hiring: A Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time 9a - 5p shift for our Detox and Residential treatment facility, located in Indianapolis, IN.

What You'll Do

• Create individual medical care treatment plans and provide medical monitoring/ medication management for each client throughout treatment
• Provide quality medical care to stabilize patients and enable them to fully engage in treatment
• Update pharmacy orders, create UDS, med and lab orders, and review and address UDS and lab results
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical, and UR teams for seamless coordination of care
• Maintain thorough documentation of all medical interventions, consultations, and directives
• Complete daily and weekly client appointment schedule in timely and efficient manner

What We're Looking For

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or MPAS
• State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians' Assistant in Indiana
• Federal DEA certification
• Advanced practice nursing skills including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in addiction medicine or related field required
