The role emphasizes patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance, enabling clinicians to practice thoughtfully in a structured environment with a strong focus on recovery and safety.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Colorado.
• Active DEA registration.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care.
• Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment.
• Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS).
• Document all medical care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards.
• Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently.

We are currently hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Denver, CO.
