Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our team for one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Pearl City, HI. The position is full-time and Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

As an NP, you will review medical histories, perform exams, document electronically, and forward findings to the VA for disability determinations. On-site work with standard exams and potential ancillary testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in force.
• Active Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility.
• Vaccination per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam using web-based examination form(s); all documentation completed electronically.
• Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory; ancillaries as needed.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: $60.07- $63.23
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.
• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Job Summary:

• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
