Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Nurse Practitioner AC-PRN to provide licensed nursing care, diagnose, treat, and consult in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The NP will educate patients, order tests, and serve as a patient care provider under Texas laws, collaborating with physicians and the care team.

This non-exempt position requires Master’s in Nursing, Texas license, and APRN acute care certification, with at least two years of RN/NP experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing and NP program
• Two years RN/NP clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as NP-AC in inpatient and outpatient settings under state nursing practice act
• Educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to plan and coordinate care
• Order tests and serve as patient care provider when appropriate
