Job description

Position Summary

Medical Assistant – Penn State Health Cardiology, Camp Hill, PA. Full‑time, day shift (8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 eligible to those that qualify.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs
• Perform EKGs
• Manage patient communications
• Process prescription refills and medication prior authorizations
• Complete medical forms and documentation
• Prepare charts to streamline and improve the patient experience
• Maintain a clean, organized and well‑stocked clinical environment

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90 days of employment or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through a Penn State Health approved agency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS certification within 6 months of employment date

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
• Previous outpatient experience preferred
