Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors providing health services to military service members. The role focuses on weekend coverage with some weekday availability under the Reserve Health Readiness Program in Pennsylvania, on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include performing health assessments, reviewing records, interviewing service members, and documenting results in the medical record using a proprietary system.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or occupational health is preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services is preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols and terminology is preferred.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments with high daily volumes.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel to various locations.
• Weekend availability preferred in most cases.

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments for military personnel.
• Review health history, records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine medical concerns.
• Identify urgent issues including behavioral health considerations.
• Document interview results in the readiness medical record using the proprietary system.
