Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners as independent contractors to provide medical readiness services to U.S. service members. The role is primarily weekend-based with occasional weekday shifts under the Reserve Health Readiness Program in Utah, on an as-needed basis.

You will conduct health assessments, review histories, and document results to support deployability, while adhering to privacy and compliance standards. Background checks via E-Verify apply.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in Utah.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Willing to travel to remote military installations; weekend availability.
• Able to work extended hours and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Not required to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member's medical record using the proprietary system.
