Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica Plain to provide pediatric and adolescent care. The role includes both urgent care and well visits for patients from newborns to 22 years old, with a weekend rotation in the Longwood Primary Care Clinic.

The candidate should have a Master’s in Nursing, 1 year RN experience, and 3–5 years NP experience in pediatric primary care; bilingual skills are a plus and licensure in MA is required.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing, diagnosing, treating, and referring our pediatric/adolescent patient population.
• Providing both urgent care and well visit care for patients ages newborn thru 22 years of age.
• This position includes adolescent health care including but not limited to reproductive endocrine health conditions, family planning consultation, and general adolescent medical consultation.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary members of the health care team to design and implement evidence-based care.
• Developing and recommending standards, policies, and procedures of patient care.
• Participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees, and special projects.
• Working 40 hours per week including days M-F at Martha Eliot and a weekend rotation in the Primary Care Clinic located in Longwood.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• A Masters Degree in Nursing

Experience:

• 1 year of RN experience required
• 3-5 years NP experience in pediatric primary care preferred
• Interest and experience working with an adolescent population preferred
• Ability to work a weekend rotation to the primary care clinic on the Longwood main campus.
• Bilingual skills a plus

Licensure/ Certifications:

• A current MA license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP required)
