Job summary

Geisinger Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous patient care in collaboration with physicians at Geisinger Medical Center. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients, ordering tests and prescribing therapies within scope.

The role requires a Master's degree in nursing with NP certification, PA licensure, and active RN credentials. Duties include coordination with nursing staff and patient education in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Certification: Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, evaluates and treats patients with autonomy as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Prescribes and adjusts medications or therapies within scope of practice.
• Documents findings and orders tests in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinates care with collaborating physician, staff and other departments.
• Educates patients and families, promoting safe, ethical care and understanding.
