Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous patient care in collaboration with physicians at Geisinger Medical Center. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients, including ordering tests and prescribing therapies per scope of practice.

Role requires collaboration with nurses, staff physicians, and department teams to ensure high-quality care and patient education. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical guidelines and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Licensure: RN and NP licenses/certifications as listed in education block.
• Basic Life Support certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and establishes a presumptive diagnosis and implements treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic testing; preserves evidence-based practice.
• Prescribes, adjusts or discontinues medications or therapies as appropriate.
• Communicates with collaborating physician and staff to ensure safe, ethical patient care.
• Works autonomously within the scope of practice and hospital policies.
