Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide care to new and established patients in collaboration with physicians. You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow up, ordering tests and interpreting results within your scope of practice.

You will work with nursing staff and other departments to triage, educate patients, and ensure safe, ethical care. Strong collaboration and communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Licensed RN in Pennsylvania and BLS certification.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP) credential.

Responsibilities

• Assess and establish presumptive diagnoses and implement treatment plans.
• Document care in EMR and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe or adjust medications as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physician and staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Provide patient education and triage as needed.
