Turnwell Mental Health seeks a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team in Southern Utah. You will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults and adolescents.

This role emphasizes collaborative care with therapists and primary care providers, plus telehealth to serve rural patients. A strong candidate will have PMHNP-BC, Utah APRN license, and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral PMHNP from an accredited program.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active Utah APRN license or eligibility to obtain.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Experience with outpatient psychiatric care.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planning.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Provide ongoing medication management and monitor patient response and side effects.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in care coordination meetings, peer consultation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide telehealth services as needed to serve rural and remote patients.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, staying current with evidence-based psychiatric practices.
