Job summary

St. Mary’s Physician Care, affiliated with St. Mary’s Medical Center, seeks a Nurse Practitioner for per diem, night shifts (7pm–7am). Open ICU and inpatient hospitalist experience preferred; expect 12-hour shifts and about 18–20 patients per shift.

Responsibilities include patient care across ages, tests, histories, treatments, and medication management under a Collaborative Practice Agreement. Two years inpatient NP experience is desired.

Qualifications

• MSN with ARNP specialization and current state APRN license.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• 1–2 years of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records and inpatient hospitalist settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide general care to patients of all ages with compassion and understanding.
• Perform tests, document histories, administer treatments, and assist physicians.
• Prescribe medications and promote health awareness under the Collaborative Practice Agreement.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.
