Job summary

St. Mary’s Physician Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide general patient care across all ages during night shifts (7pm–7am) in a Per Diem role. You will support physicians, participate in rounding and admissions, and contribute to open ICU operations.

Prior inpatient hospitalist experience and EHR proficiency are required. The role requires MSN with ARNP specialization, state APRN licensure, and BLS at hire, with a commitment to quality patient care and professional collaboration

Qualifications

• MSN with ARNP specialization required.
• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse required.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• One to two years of inpatient hospitalist experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care across all ages.
• Perform tests, take medical histories, and prescribe medications within scope.
• Assist physicians and participate in rounding and admissions.
• Engage in health education and public awareness.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.
