Job summary

The Western Reserve Hospital Physicians, Inc. seeks a Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive history and physicals across inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings, and to contribute to an integrated management plan for general medical patients.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and coordinate services with physicians, care managers, social workers, and other community agencies. Full-time position based in Hudson, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing.
• Active Ohio RN license.
• Ohio Prescriptive Authority certification.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in medical populations with leadership/management.

Job description

The Nurse Practitioner performs comprehensive history and physical assessments on the general medical population in a variety of settings, which may include inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory and others. Using the interdisciplinary team process, completes a comprehensive H&P and contributes to the development of an integrated plan for the management of general medical patients, and communicates this plan to others involved in the care of the patient. Ensures quality of patient care by utilizing established standards of care for general medical patients and coordination of services with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists and other community agencies as appropriate.

Education and Training

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio
• Certificate of Authority, State of Ohio
• National Certification in Adult, Family or Acute Care
• Certificate to Prescribe, State of Ohio
• BLS required, until ACLS obtained

Experience

• Minimum 2 Years experience in nursing care relevant to medical patient population to include leadership/management experience with demonstrated success.
