Job summary

Candidate Consult invites a Nurse Practitioner to join a respected Gastroenterology service in Southern Ohio. You will evaluate, treat, and manage GI patients, support outpatient care and follow-up visits, and educate patients while coordinating treatment plans with gastroenterologists and the clinical team.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP from NP program.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education.

Position Highlights

• Nurse Practitioner opportunity within an established Gastroenterology service
• Provide evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions
• Support outpatient GI care, follow-up visits, patient education, and coordination of treatment plans
• Work closely with Gastroenterologists, nursing staff, and other members of the clinical team
• Established endoscopy services supporting screening colonoscopy, EGD, dilation, and other GI procedures

Candidate Requirements

• MSN or DNP from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification through an appropriate nationally recognized certifying body
• Active Ohio APRN license or ability to obtain
• Prescriptive authority and DEA registration or ability to obtain, when applicable
• Gastroenterology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
• Collaborative approach to working with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical teams, and organizational leadership
• Commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care
