Job summary

Kaleida Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner in the MFS Adv Practice Prov department in Williamsville, NY. The NP will practice nursing with physician collaboration, following written practice agreements and protocols, and provide care within a specialty area. Requires NYS RN/NP licenses, CCNE/ACEN-accredited NP program, and current NP certification.

Position is onsite with rotating shifts. Education includes master’s or doctoral NP training; BLS/ACLS; DEA or eligibility; and a physician agreement

Qualifications

• Masters, post-masters’ or doctorate NP program CCNE/ACEN accreditation required.
• Current active RN and NP license in NYS required.
• National NP certification required for internal transfer; for external hire at application time.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• DEA or DEA eligible required.
• Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement.

Responsibilities

• Provide NP-led care in collaboration with a physician within written practice protocols.
• Diagnose illnesses and physical conditions and perform therapeutic measures within specialty.
• Ensure practice is conducted per written practice agreement and protocols.

Job Description

Practice of registered professional nursing by a nurse practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols.

Education And Credentials

Completion of masters, post-masters’ or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN required. Current active RN and NP license in NYS required. National NP certification required for *Internal hire: Required upon transfer into new position *External hire: Required at the time of application. Current BLS, ACLS required. DEA or DEA eligible required. AND Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required.

Experience

At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required. 1 yr. experience as NP OR * Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (critical care) as RN or NP preferred.
