Job summary

Covenant Health's Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Float Pool in Sevierville and Claiborne areas. This PRN/occ role provides primary care under physician supervision, following established protocols and contributing to a team-based care model.

The NP will perform comprehensive assessments, document medical histories, and ensure CPT/ICD coding accuracy in line with Medicare guidelines, while promoting health and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must meet the State's requirements as a Nurse Practitioner.
• CPR required.
• Must have and maintain one of the applicable certifications (AANP/ANCC/AMCB/etc) as outlined in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under physician supervision.
• Obtain complete medical history and document findings.
• Develop and review medical protocols with physician preceptor.
• Ensure CPT/ICD coding accuracy following Medicare guidelines.
• Promote health and provide patient teaching information.
• Collaborate with care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and required reports.
