Job summary

Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant | Licensed Practical Nurse for the Float Pool (Oak Ridge/Anderson Co.). This PRN/OCC position provides day shift coverage with variable hours, supporting physicians and providers in direct patient care.

Under supervision, duties include basic nursing tasks, patient intake, venipuncture and injections, EMR data entry, and help with chart prep and scheduling. Onsite role with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Performs basic nursing procedures: vital signs, intake, venipuncture and injections per scope of practice.
• Documents patient information into EMR and reports to practitioners.
• Ensures clean, comfortable patient environment and respects privacy according to AIDET principles.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures, and other direct patient care activities.
• Keeps stock of supplies and equipment; maintains accurate medical records and requests.
• Inspects areas for compliance with policies and corrective actions when needed.
