Qualifications

• Must hold Tennessee State RN license.
• New graduate within first year of orientation accepted.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
• Implements plan of care and evaluates outcomes.
• Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.
• Follows policies, procedures, safety standards and completes required education annually.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family.
• Develops and initiates plan of care involving patient and family.
• Recommends interventions.
• Evaluates plan of care.
• Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight.
• Precept employees/students as directed and reviews performance.
